Roosvelt

Roosvelt are a 4-piece band. I mean that! They are not a couple of guys who sit in an attic moving notes about on a computer. They are loud..they're rock'n roll, they fight, sometimes their equipment breaks down.. just like a real band.. and boy they sound like it!

LISTEN YOU KNOW I WON'T

The first bars of the opening track 'Turn It Up', set the tone for Roosvelt's debut album. Great guitars, great vocals, great songs.. a great band. The influences are all there.. Dylan, Tom Petty, Paul McCartney, The Band, a touch of Hendrix on the intro of 'Aint Necessarily So', and a slightly psychadelic 'Stay'. Not so much like you were back there, but more like those guys were here, in the new century, with a fresh sound, and some great new tunes. Recorded at Famous Studios when it was still owned by Cardiff legend Tony 'don't hate me' Attoria. "Comin' atcha!"

All In Good Time

"Sliding down the highway, got new blood, in my veins". New blood indeed. Every track has a different feel about it..they were all mixed as separate entities. The guitars are dirtier, the solos are louder and longer, the bass is melodic and in your face, and the drums are kicking. A touch of Keith Moon in the middle section of 'Slow Down'. Check out the slide guitar on 'Change'. Guitar/vocalist Paul Biggs said "we don't want any production". So we just used flanging, echo, spectral gate, some mic modeling!.. but we didn't mess with 'Bluebird City'.
There was a lot of extra material recorded, that never made it on the album(fantastic song 'You Never Listen'). Perhaps if enough people ask, we might be able to get the guys to release it in some form or other. Keep the requests coming.
"Bartender, one for the road". This is a great driving album.. but watch out, the speed limit's 70mph!!
